SERVICES

Achieving the best outcome,
for both design and budget,
is our raison d’etre.

Engagement from end to end on each project ensures quality and efficiency for these outcomes. Project deliverables follow five phases: Concept Design, Documentation, Procurement,Construction and Commissioning.

The deliverables for each can be explored below.

Concept Design

Following collaborative meetings with our clients and the design team (architect and interior designer), our studio designs the lighting concept. This is documented and delivered as a Glow Plan and presented with a project Budget Guide. At this phase the lighting controls, switching, and architectural lighting products are reviewed at the Concept Presentation. The outcome being a clear picture of the lighting design, effects and the look being conveyed.

Documentation

This phase sees a two-step process, whereby the Concept (along with feedback) is now documented in CAD to produce RCPs (reflected ceiling plans). As well, the Luminaire (light fitting) Schedule/ Budget is developed with specified architectural fittings and a selection of decorative fittings (if the interior designer is not specifying these). Installation Details, Switch Plate, Lamping Schedule are all incorporated in this document set. There is a second revision included prior to finalising this phase, at the conclusion of which, the lighting design documentation is issued, providing the full plans and details for electrical pricing, control system pricing and installation.

Procurement

The procurement service is a more recent offering, as it forms the seamless connection between design and installation. Procurement can be done by the project builder or electrical contractor should this be preferred. It has been more successful when Wildly completes this phase, as the details involved and trade connections result in less errors and favorable pricing for our clients.

Construction

Experience has shown that changes and evolution of the original lighting design occur during construction on every project. Wildly’s presence on site at key intervals ensures the minimisation of deficiencies at the completion of the project. Any alterations and corrections are captured early, minimizing potential correction costs and ensuring optimal design outcomes.

Commissioning

This is often the missing link in lighting design, with it commonly thought that once a light is switched or added to a scene, that the lighting installation is complete. However, this is where the magic and finishing touch of the whole design process shines. Commissioning is when the lighting designer and the automation/ programming technician collaborate. Ensuring that collective light fittings are allotted to suitable switches, ensuring the best functionality for our clients. Simultaneously, the lights grouped on each switch are dimmed to varying percentages to bring the scene to life. Be it for weekly dinner activities, late evening relaxation, garden lighting and entertainment scenes. Every evening commissioning with clients results in oohs and ahhs, with fabulous design feedback.
