design consultations are where clarity begins
A Design Consultation is a focused, collaborative session designed to bring confidence to your lighting decisions - whether you’re shaping a new home, refining an existing scheme, or resolving technical complexity. Available in person on site (in Sydney/ Southern Highlands); via Zoom or in Studio
What to Expect
A Design Consultation is a tailored, one-on-one session with Genevieve Wild, Design Director.
We review your plans, aspirations, constraints and opportunities, then translate them into clear, considered lighting direction.
This is not generic advice. It is project-specific guidance, balancing architectural intent, interior atmosphere, technical requirements and real-world buildability.
what we cover
Each two-hour Design Consultation is shaped to your project, but typically includes a review of:
Plan sets
Elevations
Concept imagery / mood boards
Lighting layers and hierarchy
Technical considerations (glare, compliance, integration, control)
Fixture strategy and placement logic
Budget guidance and supplier recommendations
The goal is not simply “good lighting”, but lighting that is intentional, resolved, and aligned with the design vision.
Please note: Due to the two-hour time frame, this service is best suited to targeted review - specific rooms, key challenging areas, or decision points. It is not for designing a lighting plan for an entire home.
If you require whole-of-project involvement, our Full Service Lighting Design is the appropriate pathway.
Who It’s For
Design Consultations are ideal for:
Interior designers wanting technical confidence and refined outcomes
Architects navigating complex residential detailing
Projects that don’t require a full design package, but do require expert input
For many projects, a consultation is the beginning of a longer collaboration.
For others, it’s a standalone moment of insight.
Either way, it’s a strategic investment - one that saves time, reduces risk, and elevates the final outcome.
What You Leave With
You’ll walk away with:
Clear direction and next steps
Informed decisions (not assumptions)
Confidence to proceed with selections and design
The reassurance that your lighting has been thoughtfully considered
Plans with annotated design changes and notes discussed on products, details, suppliers etc
What’s Not Included
Design Consultations are a two-hour review service - not an end-to-end offering.
If you would like ongoing support, additional meetings can be booked via the website.
If you’re seeking a complete, fully documented lighting design solution, we recommend engaging Wildly Illuminating for our Full Service Lighting Design.
