Being a designer is one thing, running a successful business is quite another! Genevieve became a member of Business of Design (BOD), an American based company headed by Kimberley Seldon in 2022. Becoming a member of the 2nd elite ‘BOSS’ group. A select group of 8 female designers from across North America, all business focused and driven to excel. 2023 saw the BOD create an Australian Boss group. Genevieve shifted into this group, as having an Australian group of peers was much more effective for meetings and shared information. Two years on and still meeting monthly with the fabulous designers from Sydney and Melbourne, including: Marylou Sobel (MSID), Anne Hindley (Hindley & Co), Brooke Aitkin (Brooke Aitkin Design), Kelly Pearce, Anna McMillan (Anna McMillan Design), Angela Steyn (Angela Steyn and Co). The power of collaboration, challenge sharing and support should never be underestimated.
